To open the shaker, gently take the clear connecter off and push the front cover to the side slowly.

Shaker is around 10cm in height without keyring.
Max. capacity: ~5 characters + 3 quartz.
Max. "shakable" capacity: 3-4 characters + 3 quartz.
Characters: ~2cm (0.75in)
